Practice makes perfect to keep your sword sharp and your wits sharper. In Ghost of Tsushima you can raise your max resolve by chopping bamboo strikes dotted around the islands of Tsushima and Iki. To tick them off your list, you need to complete a timed sequence of button presses - each one corresponding to a different sprig of bamboo. They increase in difficulty in three stages. The first features three presses, the second five, and most difficult one tasks you with a sequence of seven....

Sucker Punch has announced that the raid for Ghost of Tsushima Legends, will arrive Friday, October 30. Legends is, of course, the game’s recently released multiplayer update. Legends’ story mode includes several chapters, which will culminate with the raid in Iyo’s realm. It’s called The Tale of Iyo, and it’s itself split into three chapters. The Tale of Iyo supports four players, as with Legends’ survival modes. Unfortunately, the raid does not support matchmaking....

Along with the aformentioned, God of War on PC will include graphical and experiential enhancements. Graphically, there are higher-resolution shadows, improved screen space reflections, enhanced Ground Truth Ambient Occlusion (GTAO) and Screen Space Directional Occlusion (SSDO) effects. You can also expect higher detail assets, and higher rendering resolutions, plus the frame rate is fully uncapped. You can also play in HDR on G-SYNC and G-SYNC Ultimate gaming monitors, TVs and displays, and in 21:9 panoramic ultra-widescreen....

After years of speculation, God of War Ragnarok was confirmed as the real title of the game, rather than just a fan nickname for the untitled sequel based on the ominous warning from the trailer, “Ragnarok is coming.” Fans also occasionally call it God of War 5 or God of War 2 because of the confusing chronology stemming from the previous God of War in 2018 not having a number after God of War 3 in 2010....

The first was a November 29 launch date for the game’s arena-based experience Heroic Assault which sees up to four-players participating in co-op. It seems four-player co-op will be limited to that mode, as the main game is only playable either solo or in two-player online co-op, as it does not feature local co-op. Also, Heroic Assault is a gameplay mode separate from the main story campaign and provides a dedicated arena-like environment with specific objectives and enemies to defeat across 20 floors....

At the moment Gotham Knights is only meant to let you play with one other friend online, but the PSN store page for the game has recently been updated to say that it “supports up to 4 online players with PS Plus” (via Reddit). It reiterates this point by differentiating between support for offline and online maximum number of players, with offline only allowing one, and online allowing four. So far, in all the marketing for the game, only two-player co-op has been advertised, making this a bit of a big change for online gameplay....

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition released in 2021, and it hosts three games from the series: Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas. At launch, it wasn’t in a great state, to say the least, and players were not happy. However, in the time since its release, some patches have been rolled out to address issues with the trilogy of games, though it was still previously only available via Rockstar Games’ Launcher....

Grounded players should give the game’s feature board a look to see what’s coming to the game. Obsidian has outlined what to expect in the game as far as planned updates, future updates, and what is being considered. Coming soon to the game are new creatures such as the firefly and roly-poly, the Ant Queen, and pets such as aphids. Other things to look forward to are a full completeable story, sandbox environment, Haze environment, insect pet enhancements, and improvements to birds with additional interactions....

These challenges serve as an extra push to take advantage of all the different kinds of story missions, activities, and PvP modes GTA Online has to offer - but that aren’t always the best labelled. Sometimes you’re sent after contact missions, or into different game modes, but the rewards are the same. You’ll earn both money and RP for finishing all of your daily objectives, as well as an extra bonus for completing a streak throughout a week....

This news comes via Luke Ross - the sole creator of a variety of VR mods for the aforementioned games - who released a lengthy post to his supporters. In it, he claims to have received a DMCA request from Take Two Interactive for his projects and that the company requested that he “remove all their copyrighted works from [his] Patreon page”. This was confirmed by Kotaku who reached out to Patreon directly....

Just a few days after February’s Guilty Gear Strive beta, developer Arc System Works pushed back the game’s release all the way to June. The move was sudden, particularly as the February beta was supposed to be the last chance to play the game ahead of launch. To compensate for the delay, Arc System Works said it will try to make another beta available ahead of launch. Well, the studio has now confirmed that it’s actually happening....

Last month, it came to light that a group of hackers infiltrated EA’s servers and made away with source code for FIFA 21, and some Frostbite engine SDKs - over 780GB of data. As is often the case with these sort of hacks, the ultimate goal is to extort some amount of money from the victim. Similar to what CD Projekt’s hackers did to the Polish developer, EA’s hackers have also asked for money, or else they’re going to offer what they have online to the highest bidder....

Halo Infinite sets have been revealed by Mega Bloks. Again, the images may contain spoilers - we’re not sure, but just be aware in case. Noticed on the official website by Eurogamer, some of the items include a look at Hyperious’ armor, a new Banished vehicle, the Pelican, and a section of a Halo ring. Earlier this year, Nerf, Hasbro’s toy gun brand, announced a new line of Halo replicas and the series includes the MA40 Blaster (AR), the SPNKR as well as the Needler - designs based on the upcoming game....

The upgrades, accessed in the menu under a tab titled, er, upgrades, are all for pieces of equipment that the Chief gains access to throughout the course of his adventure in Halo Infinite. The gear in question are gadgets used by pressing the left bumper - starting out with your grappling hook, but expanding with further abilities with different utility as you complete main story missions. As promised, Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare got this week’s playlist update last night. On top of all the announced additions, such as a 24/7 playlist for Shipment, Plunder Blood Money and so on, the update also took helicopters out of Warzone BR. If you don’t keep up with the battle royale mode, this might seem random, but it’s actually a good call on Infinity Ward’s part....

Creative director Ashraf Ismail revealed the reason for this in a developer commentary video. Turns out, Eivor just thought it was too cool to hide. “We’re building a Viking fantasy,” Ismail explained. “We wanted players to live in the boots of a Viking warrior and to fully live within that fantasy, but this is within the Assassin’s Creed world. And so, in our journey Eivor does meet with Assassins. Eivor doesn’t necessarily know what that means, but there is some kind of common ground that they have and these are people that Eivor will work with....
