Now that Halloween is out of the way, Mushrooms have finally appeared and there are lots of fungi things to create. There should be further updates coming as we get closer to Thanksgiving but for now, it’s Mushroom time. You’ll have from November 1-30 to pick five different mushroom types and turn them into cute items for you, your friends and your islander’s homes. The better your island rating, the more Mushrooms that will appear, so spend some time cleaning up and creating the perfect island.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Where to find Mushrooms

The majority of Mushrooms can be found sprouting beneath trees, so just pick them when you see them. The Rare Mushroom, as the name suggests, is a little harder to find but if you dig a hole near trees, you’re likely to find one. You’ll find around five Mushrooms near Cedar and Hardwood trees each day, nut none will grow near Fruit or Bamboo trees. Your island rating can also influence how many Mushrooms can appear, so if you’re not finding very many, consider making some changes.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Mushroom recipes

There’s a bunch of new Mushroom recipes to collect throughout November, and to get your hands on them you’ll need to look out for balloons. Mushroom recipes will fall from shot-down balloons throughout November, so watch for their shadows and listen out for the distinct whooshing sound they make as they float overhead.
