A native version of Genshin Impact for PlayStation 5 will be released on April 28. It will support 4K resolution, and feature enhanced textures, and faster loading times. Alongside the PS5 release comes Version 1.5, Beneath the Light of Jadeite. Here you can expect new events and new enemies, the ability to continuing journeying with Zhongli, meet new characters, and more. If you liked the Hangout Events in Version 1.4, know that Version 1.5 provides the opportunity to continue your hangout story with Noelle and add Diona from The Cat’s Tail in Mondstadt into the mix. Two characters will also debut - the knight Eula and legal advisor Yanfei. Eula is the captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company and a five-star character. Ynafeil uses a claymore and an Elemental Skill called Icetide Vortex. She also uses an Elemental Burst that deals AoE Cryo Damage that also creates a Lightfall Sword that follows her around. When dealing damage, Eula charges the Lightfall Sword until it explodes dealing out even more damage. The other new character is Yanfei who is a half-human and half-illuminated beast. The legal advisor is a four-star Pyro-using catalyst-wielder who generates Scarlet Seals using a Normal Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst. Scarlet Seals provide a stackable buff that decreases Yanfei’s Stamina consumption and can be consumed to increase the power and range of her Charged Attacks.
In Version 1.5, a new Trounce Domain and a new Boss Enemy will be introduced alongside another new boss in Dragonspine. Another new enemy will be the Abyss Lector: Violet Lightning which comes from the Abyss. The first three times you claim rewards in a week from Trounce Domains, it will cost you 30 Original Resin. Also, you will now gain double the amount of Companionship EXP for gameplay completed in co-op mode. The update also lets you get your hands on the Serenitea Pot, which allows you to go to a realm you can call your own and build a home. Once you become the owner of the Serenitea Pot, you will be prompted to choose from several realm styles, and each has either a Mondstadt or Liyue-style building with several indoor rooms and plenty of outdoor space. You can remodel your home, find various furniture blueprints. The more furnishings you make, the more Trust you can earn from Tubby, and once your Trust Rank is high enough, Tubby can help you switch realm layouts. Your realm will also create Realm Currency over time as you place more furnishings. This currency can be exchanged in Tubby’s Realm Depot for even more furnishings and items, or traded with the Teapot Traveling Salesman. Friends can also visit your abode. The developer also has new seasonal challenges and events on the docket with more details on those to be shared at a later date.
