Wasteland 3 reviews have started to crop up ahead of its release this Friday. In the squad-based RPG from inXile entertainment, you take command of a squad of Desert Rangers trying to rebuild society a century after the bombs fell. The Patriarch of Colorado contacts you and promises to help you if you can rescue his land from his “three bloodthirsty children.” You will traverse various environments, build a base, train recruits, and make your way through the wastes. Who to trust in the game is important, as many are corrupted, and there are gangs, and cultists to contend with. And then there are the warring factions vying for control of post-apocalyptic Colorado. It will be up to you to decide who’s side you are on in the game, and you can work more than one side when you go about your adventures with a co-op partner. Wasteland 3 releases for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass August 28. Reviews below are based out of ten being the highest unless noted.
